The Sarbo Unity Foundation, Inc. is a 501©(3) Public Charity whose activities, programs and services are funded through your donations and gifts. Therefore all qualified donations and gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by applicable state and federal laws. Furthermore, the Foundation is run by competent experienced non-compensated volunteers. Therefore, your donations and gifts go directly to funding the stated programs and charitable services. As a donor, you may choose which programs and charitable services will benefit from your donations and gifts.
Why Invest In The Sarbo Tribal People & Adjacent Communities
The Sarbo Tribal Chiefdom and adjacent communities in River Gee County are remotely situated from any urban metropolis and they are not easily accessible by ground or air travel. Therefore, infrastructure development is non-existent partly because construction materials shipment is difficult. The Foundation believes that the most effective way that these developments will be accomplished is through the sustained efforts by individuals of Sarbo origin which can demonstrate what is achievable. The Sarbo Development Center project represents an effort to encourage more development initiatives in the rural indigenous tribal land in Liberia. The marginalization of the indigenous tribes for more than a century and more than two decades of civil war have left the areas underdeveloped. Furthermore, the continued absence of frequent ground and air travels prevent the interactions with the outside world and an intermingling of ideas that could help to improve living conditions. The Foundation believes that education can serve as an engine for development.
Ways To Donate To The Sarbo Unity Foundation
Online Payments
The Foundation accepts online donations via PayPal account. You may donate with confidence because PayPal’s fraud protection policy covers you against unauthorized purchases. Therefore, you may donate directly through PayPal or by using a credit or debit card. In either case, the Foundation does not see your purchase history or credit card information.
Vehicle Donations
The Sarbo Unity Foundation, Inc. accepts donated vehicles including buses, passenger cars, pick-up trucks, vans, and SUV’s. By donating a vehicle, you are assuring that our life-changing programs will have access to capital to help deliver services. For example, your donated vehicle may be sold and the proceeds from the sale go directly to fund Foundation activities. The donated vehicle could also get a useful and inspiring second life to transport materials, staff, and students in Liberia.
Endowment
One person or an organization has the power to enact positive change. That is especially true for supporters of the Foundation and the charitable services it is embarking upon to transform rural and indigenous communities in River Gee County, Liberia. Creating an endowment through gift of cash, securities, retirement plan assets, or life insurance benefits will help the Foundation build educational capacity and improve community outcomes among a population who would otherwise remain impoverished.
Real Estate
The Foundation accepts gifts of real estate, which could include a house or a vacant land. The real estate shall have no delinquent items such as taxes or liens and shall be free of any hazardous materials.
