In an exciting development, the Sarbo Unity Foundation has recently acquired a vehicle to help bridge the challenging distance between Sarbo Sweaken in River Gee County and Liberia’s capital, Monrovia. This new vehicle is more than just a means of transportation; it’s a game-changer for the Foundation’s work, significantly enhancing our ability to transport essential materials, supplies, and staff across the region.
The journey from Sarbo Sweaken to Monrovia spans hundreds of miles, covering rough and often unpredictable terrain. Previously, coordinating the transport of construction materials, school supplies, and essential goods required long planning and reliance on hired vehicles, which was costly and limited the frequency of trips. With this new vehicle, the Sarbo Unity Foundation now has the flexibility and reliability needed to make trips more efficiently, saving resources and time.
How the Vehicle Enhances Our Mission
Having dedicated transportation directly impacts the Sarbo Development Center’s ongoing construction and day-to-day operations. This vehicle will facilitate the transportation of supplies crucial for completing infrastructure projects, such as the water tower, classroom resources, and materials needed to power vocational training. It also enables staff to attend training, workshops, and meetings that strengthen our programs, helping us deliver on our mission to empower the Sarbo community with quality education and resources.
